Parameters:

configuration - the hadoop configuration

keyValueMetadata - extra metadata from file footers

fileSchema - the merged schema from the files

Deprecated.

If there is a conflicting value when reading from multiple files, an exception will be thrown

Returns:

the merged key values metadata form the file footers

getConfiguration

public org.apache.hadoop.conf.Configuration getConfiguration()

Returns:

the configuration for this job

getFileSchema

public MessageType getFileSchema()

this is the union of all the schemas when reading multiple files.

Returns:

the schema of the files being read

getKeyValueMetadata

public Map<String,Set<String>> getKeyValueMetadata()

each key is associated with the list of distinct values found in footers

Returns:

the merged metadata from the footer of the file
