Enum Class ThreadType

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<ThreadType>
org.apache.camel.util.concurrent.ThreadType
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<ThreadType>, Constable

public enum ThreadType extends Enum<ThreadType>
Defines the existing type of threads. The virtual threads can be enabled with the system property camel.threads.virtual.enabled set to true, or via the Camel Main configuration property camel.main.virtualThreadsEnabled. The default value is false which means that platform threads are used by default.

The thread type is resolved lazily on first access, allowing configuration properties to set the system property before the type is determined.

    • values

      public static ThreadType[] values()
      Returns an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared.
      Returns:
      an array containing the constants of this enum class, in the order they are declared
    • valueOf

      public static ThreadType valueOf(String name)
      Returns the enum constant of this class with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this class. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)
      Parameters:
      name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
      Returns:
      the enum constant with the specified name
      Throws:
      IllegalArgumentException - if this enum class has no constant with the specified name
      NullPointerException - if the argument is null
    • current

      public static ThreadType current()
    • enable

      public static void enable()
      Directly enables virtual threads by setting the cached type to VIRTUAL.

      This must be called before any thread pools are created, ideally during early bootstrap, to ensure the cached value reflects the configured intent regardless of the order in which current() was previously invoked.
